Owner Kristi Valenzuela, and Lead Trainer Shelly Kovach, specialize in solving tough salon challenges. They have

authored or co-authored many books, cds, and training programs that are easy to follow, and proven to make a difference in salon profitability, and happiness.

Their national recognition as top business strategists and motivational speakers is based on years of hands-on business practices. They have earned rave reviews from salon owners, service providers, distributor sales

consultants, and have been featured or quoted in nearly every salon magazine.

Coach Kristi Valenzuela
Kristi Valenzuela is the founder of Crystal Focus Salon Coaching, partner in Summit Salon Business College, and author of many top selling salon industry books, audio cds, and educational collaterals. She has facilitated thousands of main stage events and in-salon workshops focusing on “people skills for profitability.” She has earned rave reviews for her easy-to-use systems, and real-life strategies for stylists, front desk professionals, and leadership teams. Kristi has been quoted in nearly ever salon industry magazine, including several international publications, and has been called “America’s #1 problem solver for the salon industry.”

Shelly Kovach
Shelly is the Lead Trainer on the Crystal Focus team, and an entrepreneur at heart, owning her first business at age 19. Currently, she is the successful owner of Imagine Salon in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Shelly is an expert at sharing her real-life experiences of struggling without systems to gaining a full-circle understanding of how to coach, mentor, and grow services providers past their own expectations.

Ashley Griffin

A Front Desk Trainer for Crystal Focus Coaching, Ashley was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, where she currently resides. She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Social Science and had every intention of pursuing her dreams of becoming a History teacher before being offered a job as the salon manager at the New Identities Hair Studio of Tampa Palms. Since becoming the Front Desk Coordinator of this renown Summit model and touring salon, she has completely fallen in love with the salon industry and its constituents.

Jaclynn Bell

Jackey knows and understands that having a powerhouse of systems and efficiency behind your front desk can make a dramatic financial difference. With seven years experience as a salon support staff coordinator, using front desk systems in her current position with Shear Art Salon and Spa - a leading and tour salon for Summit Business Salons for four of those years - Jackey has found the passion to grow the staff within her salon, and has joined Crystal Focus to become a difference maker for our industry as a whole.
